Your Role
You will be part of our Material & Process team responsible for the introduction of new materials, development of material systems with associated processes, and participating in our technology development. Through your assignment, you will be a strong voice in the continued development of Saab Surveillance's world-leading products.
Our composite team supports all product areas within the airborne, maritime, and land-based domains developed at Saab Surveillance. We work broadly with composites - from material qualification to manufacturing and repair. Right now, a lot is happening in our composite area with several exciting initiatives where manufacturing process issues will be central.
Your main tasks are:
- Working with manufacturing processes and quality issues in collaboration with our suppliers. (This may involve travel and some work may be carried out at subcontractors.)
- Supporting product development in all phases from concept and system design to detailed design, verification, and delivery
- Working with testing campaigns
- Writing material and process specifications
- Contributing to and driving technology development within the company

Your Profile
This work is performed independently, but in a close-knit group. Therefore, you should be a person who thrives in a team that collectively manages and distributes work within the group and also have your own drive and desire to succeed and complete your tasks. We believe you identify with qualities such as good communication skills, flexibility, and willingness to collaborate. We are looking for someone who has:
- Good knowledge of composite manufacturing. Experience in the aerospace industry is a plus. We believe you have a degree in fiber composites and experience in composite manufacturing.
- Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Practical experience in composite manufacturing and material testing as well as product development within the industry is a plus.
The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may involve requirements for certain citizenship.
